Congrats to both of our state track and field competitors from Veribest! You have both made our school and our community extremely proud! Lots of memories made in the last two days for sure for our athletes and our coaches! Ed finished 7th in the 3200 m run with his PR after having a weather delay before the meet even started. He ran while lots of rain came down too! Alliyah had to wait out another a weather delay before any of her events started. Finally she got to compete, and she ended her high school career with 3 gold medals and 1 bronze medal in her events. Congrats again to these athletes and their coaches.
We are proud of Ed! He earned 7th place at the state meet today in the 3200 m run with his personal best time of 10:33! What a great day to get your PR. Thanks to Ed for putting in the work over these years.

Reminder: Tomorrow, Thursday, May 4th is our Veribest FFA Chapter Banquet. The banquet will begin at 6:30 pm at the Tom Green County 4-H Building. All members that participated in the School Stock Show need to attend in order to receive their premium check. All graduating FFA members are also invited to bring a Senior display. We hope to see everyone there.

Congratulations to Alliyah and Ed for punching their tickets to the State Track and Field meet in two weeks! Alliyah took the gold medal at Regionals in all four of her events! Ed earned the silver medal for his 3200 m run. And they both earned themselves two more weeks of track workouts with our wonderful track coaches. 🙂💪🏃♂️
Complete results will be posted on Monday for all of our athletes who competed this weekend. Our coaching staff is proud of each and every one of the athletes who competed in the last two days at the Regional meet. It was an outstanding two days!

Come join us next Thursday, May 4th for our Veribest FFA Chapter Banquet. The banquet will begin at 6:30 pm at the Tom Green County 4-H Building. Everyone is invited to attend and honor our members' achievements over the past year. The address for the 4-H building is 3168 US-67, San Angelo, TX 76905.
Veribest is so proud of Emily Scott. She competed well at state tennis today and gave her all. She split sets, but came up a little short. Scores were 6-1, 3-6, 5-7.

Please join us this week in celebrating our athletes as we have athletes competing in State tennis and Regional track and field!
VISD will have a walk thru send off for Emily Scott who will be competing in tennis at the state level. The send off will be Monday at 11:25 before she leaves for San Antonio. Please check in at the office to get your visitor pass if you plan on participating and then head to the gym.
On Friday, we will have a drive thru send off for our 12 Regional track athletes who will be competing at ASU that day and Saturday as well. The drive thru send off will take place at 8:30 am at the flag pole parking lot adjacent to HWY 380.
