Veribest JV girls game scheduled to be played in Ballinger at 4:00 on Friday has been cancelled. The Ballinger coach said if they play, it will just be their varsity teams.

Our home basketball games on Friday night vs Santa Anna have been rescheduled for Monday, February 7. Junior high girls will start at 4:00 on Monday followed by junior high boys at 5:00, Varsity girls at 6:00, and Varsity boys at 7:15. I’m still awaiting another call from Ballinger about our JV girls game that is scheduled for 4:00 on Friday…more info on that later.

The San Angelo Standard Times All-West Texas Volleyball Team and the Texas Girls Coaches Association All-State team was announced over the holidays and the Veribest Lady Falcons were well represented on both. Coach Denise Richards was named West Texas Volleyball Coach of the Year. The following girls were named to both teams. Olivia Abbott Cora Blackwell Callie Briley Collyn Daniels Meredith Robles Kennadi Wheeless Also Kennadi Wheeless was named to the Academic All State volleyball team. Congratulations to Coach Richards and the honorees.
