The Veribest Independent School District seeks an exemplary leader to serve as superintendent. Veribest Independent School District is an outstanding school district in West Texas with a current enrollment average of 263 students. There is one comprehensive high school and one elementary school. It participates in a district alternative campus cooperative. Veribest ISD is located in the fertile Concho Valley of Texas and serves Tom Green County.
Located near San Angelo, Texas – It has as a tradition of academic excellence and effective governance practices. It's priority is to produce graduates with a strong moral compass; and college and career readiness is the ultimate goal.
The board seeks and welcomes applications from all qualified persons. The Application Deadline is June 28, 2012. The anticipated start date for the new Superintendent is August 21, 2012.
Mission Statement: The Veribest Independent School District, as a safe and enjoyable center of learning, will provide for each child an education to reach his/her full potential through the interactive involvement of students, parents, staff, and community members. A positive, innovative learning environment develops self-worth, self-discipline, and Godliness, which motivate our students to become productive citizens in an ever-changing society.

Goal I: Veribest Independent School District will strive to provide a curriculum that offers a wide variety of engaging and creative educational opportunities that meet the needs and future goals of our students, taught by highly qualified, enthusiastic, and effective faculty, staff, and administration that encourages, motivates, and creates opportunities for all parents and community members to be involved.
Goal II: Veribest Independent School District will maintain financial excellence through good management and accounting practices, while maintaining accountability and optimal fund balance that supports school operations.
Goal III: Veribest Independent School District will strive to maintain a high standard, by upgrading the current and future facilities to support modern educational needs while working to acquire state of the art facilities that support our growth needs.
Compensation Package The salary and fringe benefit package will be competitive.
Applicants are required to hold or provide evidence of eligibility for a Texas Superintendent certificate and Professional Development Appraisal System (PDAS) certification.
